I welcome you to the West Bengal Police website. This website has been designed to render all necessary information about West Bengal Police and also to cater to the other requirements of people at large while being highly informative.
The new age police challenges need both professional response and humane orientation. The community remains the main focus of our policing and timely delivery of services to them is our Top Priority. Police-public interface will be made more effective by making the police more accessible to the citizens and responsive to their grievances. I assure that every member of West Bengal Police force will give his / her best to provide an atmosphere of safety and security in the State.
We take pride in our profession and uphold the dignity of the uniform. It is our responsibility to uphold the rule of law, human rights of the individual, protection of the weaker sections of the society and the dignity of those who are in need of our help. The most potent weapon of the police is the community participation – and I am certain that with the cooperation of our community, we will be able to work towards our goals of peace, tranquillity and crime free society in the State. The State Police is working towards its goal of “Predictive Policing” and countering the modern age crimes like Cyber-crimes by way of new and innovative methods and techniques.
